The Hither House Was Born from a Simple Place: the Heart.
It was born from the desire to bring friends and family together, to create a space where people could put down the weight of everyday life and pick up a paintbrush instead.
A place to turn the "I can't" into "I can." A place to release creativity that may have been sitting quietly inside you, waiting for permission to come out. A place to rediscover passion, laughter, connection, and the simple joy of creating something with your own two hands.
For years, I've said the words "Come hither." It was always my way of inviting people closer — closer to one another, closer to the moment, and closer to the things that make us feel alive. And eventually, that little phrase became something more.
The Hither House.
I wanted to bring the joy of painting and creating to others in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where you don't have to be an artist. You don't have to know what you're doing. You don't have to be perfect.
You simply have to come hither.
Our gatherings are designed to help you relax, unwind your mind, spark your passion, and quiet the fears and stresses that so often follow us through everyday life. Here, you can lay it all down — not just on the canvas, but in the moment — and create your very own masterpiece from the heart.

And now, this little dream has found its home in the heart of the historic downtown district, where we hope to become more than a place to paint. We want The Hither House to become a place where memories are made, friendships grow, creativity is celebrated, and people walk through the door carrying the weight of the world… and walk back out feeling a little lighter.
